Paisley & District Darts League Cup gets off to thrilling start

The Paisley & District Darts League served up plenty of drama in the opening round of the League Cup on Monday.

Hagg A were ruthless in their 5–0 clean sweep over Hagg C, booking a second-round clash with The Clippens on 13 October. The Midton also impressed with a 5–1 victory against Hazel Nutz, setting up a tie against Bishopton Social Club.

In one of the tightest contests of the night, Pockets B edged past Rumours 5–4 to secure a meeting with Clippens Inn. St Peters eased to a 5–1 win against Midton Bowling Club and will face Tartan Rose in the next round. Meanwhile, Flying Horse defeated Tartan Thunder 5–3 and now line up against Clachan Arrows.

All second-round ties are scheduled for 13 October, with more high-quality darts action expected as the competition heats up.

The league begins next Monday.
