Public asked for views on making Renfrewshire a fairer place for all

🗓 02/10/2025

Renfrewshire Council is asking local people to have their say on plans to tackle discrimination and promote equality.
The Council have drafted an equality outcomes action plan for Renfrewshire as part of making the area a fairer and more inclusive place to live, work and study.
It’s part of a commitment by the Council that all residents, employees, customers and partners should be treated fairly and with respect at all times. This includes ensuring services meet the diverse needs of communities and promoting a culture of equal opportunities for everyone.
The consultation is live and open to everyone. People have until Friday 31st October 2025 to take part.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Renfrewshire can fill out the Equality Outcomes consultation online, here: https://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/consultations/equality-outcomes-consultation.

Councillor Jacqueline Cameron, depute leader of Renfrewshire Council and chair of the Fairer Renfrewshire sub-committee, said: “We are committed to making Renfrewshire a fairer and inclusive place for all. This consultation is a key part of helping to shape how we advance equality, tackle discrimination and harassment, and foster positive relationships between different groups and communities across the area.
“It’s open to anyone who lives, works or studies in the area and I would encourage as many people as possible to take part. Your views are important and will help us identify actions to form our action plan based on real feedback.”
