Xcite summer fun 26th July 2025

GRID Braehead has revealed a packed festive programme for families this Christmas, with a series of free activities and seasonal attractions planned throughout December.

The Renfrewshire entertainment destination is bringing back some of its most popular events, including the Christmas Cottage and Elf School, alongside new festive displays and photo opportunities across the centre.

Families will be able to step inside the Christmas Cottage for a walk-through festive experience designed for visitors of all ages, offering a chance to enjoy a traditional Christmas setting and capture seasonal photos together.

Elf School also returns this December, giving children the chance to take part in Christmas-themed craft sessions, colouring activities and festive fun. Young visitors can create their own reindeer food to take home, with GRID’s elves on hand to help throughout the sessions.

Following the success of its Halloween attractions, GRID will once again team up with Funfair Scotland to deliver a festive train ride and outdoor rides, located in the car park, adding to the seasonal atmosphere.

Bruce Harley, Centre Manager at GRID Braehead, said: “We’re thrilled to announce our first festive event as GRID Braehead and see the return of our popular onsite activities. This time of year is about community, fun and festivities and GRID promises entertainment around every corner – we’re excited to welcome visitors to enjoy the Christmas period with our fantastic line-up of events and activities for all.”

Visitors can also combine the festive events with GRID’s wider leisure offering, including Laser Station, Tenpin and ODEON cinema, as well as dining options such as The Good Hood, Nando’s, Pizza Express and Five Guys.
