Aulds the Bakers has announced that its Johnstone shop will close for two weeks from tomorrow (Sunday, 31st May) as the business carries out a major refurbishment and wider investment programme.

In a video update shared on social media, the bakery confirmed that Saturday will be the branch’s final trading day before the temporary closure. The shop is expected to reopen after two weeks following extensive renovation work.

The company said the closure will allow a “full renovation” of the store to take place, alongside a number of other improvements across the business, including new packaging, new delivery vans and a new website.

In the update, a spokesperson said: “Tomorrow will be our last trading day until we close for two weeks. In that time we’ll be undergoing a full renovation in the store along with a number of other new bits of packaging, new vans, new website etc.”

The bakery thanked customers for their support and said it was looking forward to welcoming shoppers back once the work is complete.

Aulds has not yet confirmed an exact reopening date but said the closure is expected to last for two weeks.
