Police and specialist ambulance teams are responding to an incident in Houston today, Monday 27th July 2026.
A significant emergency services presence has been reported around Barochan Road and Corsliehill Road.
Renfrewshire News understands up to seven police units have been involved in the response. A police helicopter has also been seen in the area.
The Scottish Ambulance Service has confirmed it received a call at 8.33am and sent four special operations response teams, two ambulances and a critical care team to the scene.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08.33 to attend an incident on Barochan Road, Houston, Johnstone. Four special operations response teams (SORT), two ambulances and one critical care team were dispatched to the scene.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for further information.
