Miller Homes has acquired 17.82 acres of land at Barrochan Road in Houston, where it plans to build 75 private homes.
The development, named Kirkton Green, will include four and five-bedroom properties. The company said the homes would be aimed particularly at families looking to move to larger properties and buyers seeking additional space.
The acquisition expands Miller Homes’ presence in the West of Scotland.
Andrew McArthur, regional operations director at Miller Homes Scotland West, said: “Houston is a highly desirable location and a natural fit for our plans to expand our presence across the West of Scotland. It offers the best of both worlds, with the character and community of a historic village alongside excellent connections to Glasgow, Paisley and the wider region.
“Kirkton Green will give us the opportunity to deliver a high-quality collection of larger four and five-bedroom homes. We know there is strong demand from families looking to upsize and from buyers seeking more space without compromising on location.
“This acquisition is an important addition to our portfolio and underlines our continued confidence in the West of Scotland housing market.”
