KFC has applied for a new late-hours catering licence at Phoenix Retail Park in Linwood, while neighbouring Taco Bell has already secured a licence allowing it to open later.
A public notices displayed at both restraunts shows an application has been made to Renfrewshire Council for a new late-hours catering licence.
The application describes the business as a fast food restaurant, drive-thru and takeaway.
KFC is seeking permission to operate under the late-hours licence from 11pm until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and from 11pm until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
The application was lodged on 2nd July 2026. The deadline for representations or objections was 30th July 2026.
Meanwhile, Renfrewshire Council’s licensing register shows neighbouring Taco Bell has already been granted a late-hours catering licence.
The Taco Bell licence covers 1 Pegasus Avenue, Phoenix Leisure Park, Linwood, PA1 2BH.
The application was lodged on 16th April 2026 and the licence was granted on 23rd June 2026.
Taco Bell’s licence allows late-hours catering from 11pm until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and from 11pm until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
The licence is listed as current and is due for renewal on 30th June 2027.
