Fuel prices at the Esso station in Elderslie shown on Google Maps.

Google Maps and Waze are launching a fuel price feature in the UK, allowing motorists to compare petrol and diesel costs at nearby stations.

Google says the feature uses the UK Government’s Fuel Finder service, alongside work with the UK Waze community, to show prices in real time.

Drivers can search for “petrol” or “fuel” on either app to see the latest prices.

Petrol and diesel prices can be viewed directly on the map. Users can also see prices for the different fuels offered by a station in one place.

The launch was announced on 8th October 2026 by Sarah-Jayne Williams, global product partnerships director at Google Maps and Waze.
