St Mirren FC supporters have raised more than £7,000 by spending a night in the stadium stands to support community programmes across Renfrewshire.

Participants swapped their beds for the stands at the Marbill Coaches Stadium on Friday, 25th September, for Saints Sleepout 2026.

As of 28th September, the event had raised £7,011 for St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation, reaching 88% of its fundraising target. Donations remain open.

Fans of all ages took part, including young Buddies, players from St Mirren WFC and members of the Foundation team.

Foundation trustee Carla Manini-Rowden took part alongside her daughter. Amanda the Panda also joined the group for the night.

Strong winds added to the challenge as participants spent the night in the stadium.

Saints Sleepout aims to raise awareness of homelessness and hardship while raising funds for the Foundation. The money will help support its community programmes for children, families and adults across Renfrewshire.

Carla Manini-Rowden said: “Taking part in the Sleepout gave us a tiny glimpse of what it’s like for people who have no choice but to sleep outside.

“As well as hopefully gaining a little more empathy and understanding, we’re really chuffed to have raised money for our vital programmes.”

The Foundation thanked everyone who took part, donated, shared the fundraiser and supported participants throughout the challenge.
