A new street-food vendor serving loaded fries, mac and cheese and crispy chicken has opened at GRID Braehead.

Salt & Stacked is situated at the entrance to the centre. Customers can build their own loaded mac and cheese or fries with a choice of toppings, sauces and additions, including meats, cheese and crispy onions.

The menu also includes homemade peppercorn sauce, ranch dressing and mozzarella slabs. The team is continuing to develop additional homemade sauces.

Salt & Stacked is the second food business at GRID from the team behind Vinci’s, which serves doughnuts and ice cream.

Nicola Hiscoe, Director of Salt & Stacked said: “We’ve been delighted by the response to Salt & Stacked since opening at GRID. Visitors have really embraced the bold, customisable menu, and it has been fantastic to see customers returning to try new combinations and flavours. The strong early feedback has given us real confidence in the concept and its potential as it continues to grow at GRID.”

Bruce Harley, Centre Manager at GRID Braehead, said: “Salt & Stacked brings a bold and exciting new food offer to GRID, and the response so far shows there is a real appetite for fresh, independent concepts that give visitors something new to discover. Its arrival adds to our growing food and beverage line-up, which also includes well-known names such as Pizza Express, TGI Fridays, Five Guys and Nando’s, as well as a delicious mix of independent operators.”
