Nominations have opened for Renfrewshire’s Provost’s Community Awards, which will mark their 30th anniversary in 2027.
Residents are invited to nominate individuals, groups and organisations who make a positive difference in their communities.
The awards recognise volunteers, community groups, employees, sports champions and those contributing to arts and culture across Renfrewshire.
The five award categories are:
- Community Volunteer, sponsored by Glasgow Airport Ltd.
- Community Group, sponsored by City Gate Construction.
- Sport Award, sponsored by ACRE Industrial Services.
- Employee of the Year, sponsored by UNISON Renfrewshire.
- Arts and Culture Award, sponsored by Renfrewshire Council.
Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “The Provost’s Community Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise the people and groups who dedicate their time, energy and passion to supporting others and strengthening our communities.
“This year is particularly special as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the inception of the awards. For three decades, the awards have shone a spotlight on the outstanding individuals and organisations whose efforts make a real difference to life in Renfrewshire.
“I would encourage anyone who knows an outstanding volunteer, community group, employee, sportsperson or someone making an impact through arts and culture to submit a nomination. We know there are so many deserving individuals and organisations across Renfrewshire, and I look forward to reading this year’s nominations.”
Nominations close at midnight on Tuesday 5th January 2027.
A judging panel made up of the Provost, award sponsors and local elected members will select the winners.
Successful nominees and the people who nominated them will be invited to an awards ceremony in March 2027.
