People living in Foxbar and Brediland are being encouraged to put themselves forward to join their local community council.

Community councils give residents a platform to speak up on local issues and share their views with organisations such as Renfrewshire Council, NHS services and Police Scotland.

Nomination forms are available now and must be submitted by Friday 7th November 2025. Anyone interested can request a form by emailing community-council.cs@renfrewshire.gov.uk
.

Council Leader Iain Nicolson said: “Community councils are a great way to give local people a voice and the opportunity to make changes to where they live.

“As a council, we want to harness the knowledge of local people so it’s important that our community councils are established and can put forward the views of the residents.

“If you would like to make a positive difference to your local area, then please send your nomination form in before the deadline.”

To be considered, forms must be completed in full and include a proposer and seconder who both live in the area and are listed on the electoral roll. Incomplete, unsigned or late submissions will not be accepted.
