A six-strong team from Holmes Mackillop Solicitors has completed the Kelpies Challenge – a one-of-a-kind 1.5-hour assault course set high within the iconic heads of the world-famous Kelpies – raising £2,800 for St Vincent’s Hospice.
Last month saw Carole Johnston, Mark Joseph, Hannah McKay, Ellie MacDonald, Sam Hamilton and Abbie Watt take on the unique challenge that pushed their limits, tested their nerves and thrilled their senses, all while raising vital funds for the incredible care provided by St Vincent’s Hospice.
The hospice is a charitable organisation dedicated to delivering compassionate, specialist care to individuals living with life-limiting illnesses. Serving communities across Renfrewshire and parts of North Ayrshire, it offers a range of services including inpatient care, community nursing, day services and bereavement support.
Their person-centred approach ensures that care is tailored to the needs and preferences of patients and their families, while spiritual and pastoral support is provided to reflect the diverse backgrounds of those they serve.

“We all popped up in the mouth of the tallest Kelpie named Baron after a gruelling course of wire traverses, scrambles and ladder climbs, all while trussed up like chickens with wedgies!
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far – we’ve raised £2,800 to date – but would love to get it up a bit higher. It is such a good cause.”
