Police have confirmed that the body of a man has been found in a field near Kilmacolm.
Officers were called around 9:20am on Tuesday, 11th November 2025, following the discovery near High Mathernock Farm.
The man has not yet been formally identified, but police say the family of a 50-year-old man reported missing from Greenock earlier the same day have been made aware.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20am on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, we were called to a report of a body found in a field near to High Mathernock Farm, Kilmacolm.
“The man has not been formally identified, but the family of a 50-year-old man, who was reported missing from Greenock on Tuesday, 11 November, have been made aware.”
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
