A community radio station in Johnstone is calling on locals to step up and try their hand at presenting, offering full training for anyone keen to get involved in a volunteer role.
Johnstone Sound Community Radio says no experience is needed, with support provided to help new presenters build confidence, learn the basics, and get behind the microphone.
The station is encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to come forward – whether they are looking to gain experience in media or simply want to try something new and support their local community.

Well we’ve got a big opportunity for you waiting right here at Johnstone Sound. Whether you’re a young person starting out in media or you’ve always wanted to learn about radio presenting and don’t know where to begin, we’re here to help you.
“Full training is provided to get you on air with confidence. All you have to do is send an email to us, office@johnstonesound.com. Send the email, put your contact information in and tell us a little bit about yourself, what kind of show you want to present, what your hobbies and interests are and we will get right back to you to start.
