Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Paisley.
Police were called to a report of a man being attacked by a group of six youths on Smithhills Street at around 9pm on Sunday 22nd March 2026.
The group is understood to include boys and girls aged between 14 and 16.
Emergency services attended and a 32-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Officers have confirmed enquiries are ongoing and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Constable Victoria Smillie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and we are appealing for the assistance of the public.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone with any private CCTV or dash-cam footage to contact us.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3037 of Sunday 22nd March 2026. Alternatively, details can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
