Bishopton Ladies FC have been recognised for a remarkable season after securing three major honours and promotion.

The club were crowned Scottish Women’s Football League West Central Champions, lifted the Scottish Women’s Football League Cup and won the League One Promotion Final to secure their place in the next tier.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, which sponsored the team’s training kit during the season, marked the achievement at its Dargavel View development in Bishopton. The housebuilder said its support formed part of its wider investment in the local community.

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to see Bishopton Ladies FC achieve such incredible success this season.

“Supporting grassroots sport is an important part of how we give back to the communities where we build – not just by delivering new homes, but by helping local groups and organisations thrive.

“The team’s dedication, talent and spirit are inspiring, and we’re delighted to have played a small part in their journey.”

Head coach Steven King thanked the company for its backing and said the sponsorship had made a real difference to the squad.

He said: “Grassroots football relies so much on local support, and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s sponsorship has made a real difference to our players this season.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the training kit and for their belief in our team.

“As we move up to League One, we’ll be travelling the length and breadth of Scotland, so we’re also keen to connect with other local businesses who may be able to support us – particularly with travel costs. Every bit of help goes a long way.”

The club’s success has been hailed as an example of the continued growth of women’s football in the area and the benefits of community partnerships in supporting local sport.
