Johnstone Phoenix Youth Theatre has celebrated the success of its recent production of Grease Young@Part with an aftershow party for its cast.
The group thanked everyone who supported the production, saying audiences had been “incredible” and that the cast had “gave it everything” while bringing Rydell High to life.
The celebration took place at The Wee White Playhouse, where members came together after the show’s run to mark what the theatre group described as an “amazing show”.
In a post on social media, the group said: “We had such a fantastic time at our Grease Aftershow Party today.
“It was so nice to see everyone together again and celebrate an amazing show.
“A huge thank you to our DJ, Scott, and all the staff at The Wee White Playhouse for helping make the day so special. It was amazing, as always!
“We hope you all have a fantastic summer, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another exciting year at JPYT!”
The theatre group also said it had received “lots of messages” from people interested in becoming new members.
It added that everyone who had expressed an interest would receive information about new member auditions, which are due to take place in August.
The production was staged at Johnstone Town Hall, with performances taking place over two days. The group said audiences had enjoyed the show and praised its young performers for their singing, dancing and energy.
