Bus passengers across the Gryffe Valley area will see improved services from Sunday 12th July after McGill’s announced changes to routes and timetables.
New SPT-supported routes 1, 1A and 2 will replace the current 1A, 1B, X6A, X6B, 9 and 530 services.
The new Service 1 will provide an hourly daytime service between Port Glasgow and Johnstone Station via Kilmacolm, Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir and Brookfield.
Service 2 will run every 75 minutes between Bridge of Weir and Johnstone Station via Houston and Linwood.
An hourly evening Service 1A will also operate between Bridge of Weir and Johnstone Station via Brookfield.
The changes affect the following routes:
- 1 – Port Glasgow Retail Park to Johnstone Station
- 1A – Johnstone Station to Kilmacolm
- 1B – Johnstone Station to Kilmacolm
- 2 – Johnstone to Bridge of Weir, Dalmahoy Crescent
- 530 – Port Glasgow to Kilmacolm
- X6A – Johnstone Station to Linwood
- X6B – Johnstone Station to Linwood via Kilbarchan.
