Plans have been lodged to transform a vacant industrial unit at Hillington Park into a new indoor golf facility with six simulator bays and a café.
Affordable Golf Ltd has applied to Renfrewshire Council for permission to change the use of the former industrial premises at 50 Kelvin Avenue to create the new leisure venue.
The planning application describes the proposal as a Class 11 assembly and leisure development comprising an indoor golf facility with an associated café.
Plans submitted with the application show the facility, named TeeUp, would contain six golf practice simulator bays alongside a dedicated putting practice area.
A café, waiting and chill-out area, lockers, toilets and office and storage space would also be created within the building.
The existing roller shutter entrance at the front of the property would be removed and replaced with a new glazed screen, while the drawings also identify an area for potential new signage.
The 534 square metre premises are currently described in planning documents as a vacant factory and industrial unit with offices. The application states the proposed change of use has not yet taken place and work has not started.
No new vehicle access or on-site parking spaces are proposed as part of the development.
The planning application was submitted and validated on Wednesday, 22nd July, and is currently awaiting a decision from Renfrewshire Council. The neighbour consultation period runs until Thursday, 13th August.
