£1 m bill for bin lorries
Renfrewshire Council are to spend nearly £1 million on six new bin lorries.
The council will receive two different trucks, four Volvo FE 6×2 including Farid RCV bodywith a Terberg bin lifter, costin £625,000.

RCV body with a Zoeller bin lifter at the cost of £3 19,200.
The local authority has agreed a deal which will see the 26-tonne refuse trucks delivered to the council in March next year.
The new Volvo trucks will be financed from the council’s Community Resource’s capital budget at a cost of £944, 200 excluding VAT.
As part of the deal the Volvo Truck and Bus Centre (Scotland) Limited, who are providing the vehicles, will visit local schools with the trucks to give pupils health a safety talks.
They will also attend careers days to romote the industry and t e benefits working in the industry can bring.
