School children at St Columba’s Junior School in Kilmacolm will be filled with extra Christmas cheer after four lucky pupils are awarded prizes from a national housebuilder.
The local school was to ask help design its corporate Christmas cards this winter, with the winning designs printed and sent out to all Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes homeowners and other contacts.
Karen Connell, regional marketing manager, Barratt West Developments: “We love working with the local schools, especially at this time of the year when there is just that little bit more excitement in the air. We have a great relationship with St Columba’s and wanted to give the school children a chance to win some vouchers just before Christmas.”

Alison M Duncan, Head of Junior School said, “Over the years we have built up a great relationship with both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. The children were thrilled to be asked to be the artists of the corporate Christmas cards and the prize winners walked away with a little Christmas bonus.
“Hopefully all of the lucky recipients of the cards will be as impressed with the artwork as Karen and her team were.”
Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are both building new homes in Brookfield.
