Children can learn about leaves and how they change through the seasons at a free workshop at Dobbies’ Braehead store on Sunday 1st November.
The Little Seedlings Club session will explore what plants need for food, why leaves come in different shapes and sizes, and what causes them to change colour.
Children will also discover leaves from around the world and learn how fallen leaves nourish the soil and provide habitats for wildlife.
Activities will include making a paper plate leaf wreath to take home.
The free monthly Little Seedlings Club helps children learn about seasonal topics and the natural world through hands-on activities.
Dobbies’ Event Programme Manager, Hannah Stephen, said: “Our November Little Seedlings Club is a great chance for children to discover the fascinating world of leaves and how they change through the seasons.
“As well as learning something new, children will be able to get creative by making their own paper plate wreath to take home. We’re looking forward to welcoming our little seedlings back in November for another fun-filled session and helping inspire a love of nature.”
Families can book a free space at www.dobbies.com/events.
