More than 260 free events will take place across Renfrewshire in November to help people build digital confidence and develop new skills.

DigiKnowVember is open to people of all ages and experience levels, from those taking their first steps online to those looking to expand their digital knowledge.

The month-long programme brings together partners from public services, charities, social housing, education and businesses.

Events include digital skills drop-ins, employment support sessions, discussions and demonstrations about artificial intelligence, online safety workshops and wellbeing showcases. Practical support will also be available to help people get online and use digital services.

Renfrewshire Libraries, run by OneRen, will host drop-in sessions where Digital Champions will offer one-to-one support with devices and online services.

The full programme is available online, along with downloadable guides to help residents find events in their local area.

James McKee, Digital Strategy Delivery Manager and Co-Chair of the DigiRen Network, said: “Digital confidence has never been more important. Technology plays a vital role in how we access services, connect with others, learn new skills and find opportunities. DigiKnowVember helps people build that confidence in a supportive, welcoming environment.”

Renfrewshire Council leader Iain Nicolson said: “DigiKnowVember is more than a programme of events. It’s a great example of partners working together to support communities and ensure everyone can benefit from the opportunities digital technology provides.

“The programme continues to grow year-on-year and reflects the commitment across Renfrewshire to enabling digital inclusion. Every conversation, every event and every new skill learned helps create a more connected, empowered and inclusive Renfrewshire.”

Residents can view the programme, download local guides and register for events through Engage Renfrewshire’s DigiRen webpage.

Organisations can continue to add activities throughout the campaign using the event registration form. Groups running multiple sessions are encouraged to register each activity separately.
