Children at Puddle Lane Early Learning and Childcare Centre in Hillington Park enjoyed Halloween celebrations with fancy dress, games and activities.
The children arrived as princesses, lions and a range of Halloween characters. Staff also dressed up, with costumes including Baby Shark, Cruella De Vil and her 101 Dalmatians, and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
The celebrations included a sensory game, giving children the chance to explore surprise textures including spaghetti and jelly.
Children also enjoyed a magnetic ghost game and created bubbling pumpkin volcanoes using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. A spider number hunt helped them practise their counting skills.
Parents and carers were invited to join the celebrations and take part in the activities with their children.
Lisa Drever, nursery manager at Puddle Lane, said: “It’s wonderful to see how excited the children get about Halloween and how much they enjoy the opportunity to dress up and become their favourite characters for the day.
“We had everything from princesses and lions to some wonderfully spooky outfits, and the children were so proud to show off their costumes. Our team also put a huge amount of effort into their own fancy dress, which made the day even more special.
“Most importantly, the children had a fantastic time exploring the activities, discovering the surprise textures and sharing the fun with their families. It was a lovely celebration for everyone involved.”
Puddle Lane provides early learning and childcare for children aged up to five, welcoming families from Renfrewshire, Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
