McGills, our local bus company have put eight new buses on the roads of Renfrewshire.

Another 12 buses are still to arrive later in the summer, all the new buses will be used on busy Paisley routes.

Ralph Roberts, McGill’s managing director said: “This first batch of eight buses has gone into service on key Paisley routes.

“These include our busy Foxbar service 60, as well as on our service 20 which serves the RAH and our 7 service, which operates between Linwood and Paisley.

He added: “Since Easter this year, McGill’s has invested in thirty new buses for our Renfrewshire routes. This latest order, like those delivered at Easter, are low-entry single decker buses,
and offer our Renfrewshire customers a first-class experience. They are also environmentally-friendly vehicles with enhanced low emissions—so great news for everyone. By investing in the
quality Alexander Dennis finish, McGill’s has raised the bar, yet again, for public transport users across Renfrewshire.”

The remaining twelve new buses will be delivered late Summer and will be employed across services to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the company’s high-frequency, Linwood to Paisley 7 service.
