Police have reported a spate of bogus callers in the Paisley East area.
Two males have been arrested for bogus crime and have appeared at court in relation to the crime on Tuesday 31st May 2016.
Police said via Facebook “Can we ask that you are extra vigilant and remind you not to hand money over to any workmen who come to your door offering to do work in your home or garden.
“Please help protect yourself, your families and neighbours from doorstep crime by visiting Police Scotland website for advice on how to deal with cold callers.
“Any persons with information relating to this incident can contact Police Scotland on 101 or report the information to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
