A man has been arrested and charged after he stole two gold platted donation boxes from St. Mirin’s Cathedral.
It is alleged the 34-year-old managed to get away with £50 from the donation boxes compared to the £10,000 worth of damage he caused.
The theft happened at St. Mirin’s Cathedral, Incle Street, Paisley between the 4th and 5th December 2016, the suspect is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
