Detectives are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Elderslie in the early hours of Sunday (02/04/17) morning.
A 46-year-old man was near the railway bridge on Old Road when he was approached by a woman and three men who attacked him and robbed him.
Afterwards the group made off in the direction of Broomward Cemetery, the victim went to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The robbery happened around 1.45am.
The woman is described as between 20 and 25 years old, slim build with light brown hair and wearing a black parka-style jacket. The three men are also described as between 20 and 25 years old and were wearing dark clothing. All spoke with a local accent.
Detective Constable Laura Durnie from Paisley CID said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who required hospital treatment for his injuries.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the surrounding area in the early hours of this morning and witnessed the incident, or saw a group of three men and a woman, to get in touch.
