Developers will be hosting a drop in session in Elderslie on Monday regarding another new housing development in the village.

An estimated 200 houses are being proposed by property developer G L Hearn on farmland between Dunvegan Avenue and Gleniffer House on Glenpatrick Road.

To find out more information about the plans you can drop in between 2pm and 7pm on 31st August at Elderslie Village Hall.

This is the second proposed development in the works with another on Abbey Road.

A number of local residents who live around the area of the new development sites are against the plans. They are worried about how roads and the local school will cope with the population boost.

They also do not want to lose the greenbelt which surrounds that area of Elderslie.

A Facebook page has been set up, titled ‘Elderslie Greenbelt‘ where residents can discuss to the pros and cons of the developments.
