We’ve just published article number 1,000 since we relaunched our news and events site as Renfrewshire24.co.uk.
Actually, this is article 1,000 and hopefully 1,000 more articles to come.
The site, in one form or another, has been running since 1998 but has found its success as Renfrewshire24, with hundreds of visitors daily.
Renfrewshire24 was created by local man Ricky Kelly, who tries his best to keep it current, fun and up-to-date.
Ricky said: “The site has been a hobby of mine ever since I bought my first computer in the 90s. I’ve made loads of websites in that time. Sometimes I’m not able to update the site as often as I would like to with my day job commitments but I will keep plodding along.
“The site will continue to be a hobby and not for profit. We do make a little money from adverts but they’re only there to help pay for the server to host the website. Any money we do make we give it away to the community.
“We are always looking for people to help with the site, from writing articles, posting events or sending us photos of local events. So please get in touch if you fancy lending a hand.
“We’d like to thank everyone for continuing to visit the site, share and comment on our articles and we hope to see you all soon.”
