Police Scotland are appealing for information following a robbery which took place last Saturday.

The incident happened around 9.35pm on the 2nd January when two 16 year-old boys were making their way home on Spencer Drive, Paisley when they were stopped by two men.

The man threatened the boys before robbing them of a phone and a three-figure sum of cash.

The men made off in the direction of Glendower Way towards Crosbie Drive. Although shaken, the two 16 year-old boys were uninjured as a result of the incident.

Both suspects are described as white men with a medium build and local accents. Both suspects are approximately aged in their 30’s. At the time of the incident, the men wore dark coloured track suits with hoods up.

Constable Kevin McGee, from Paisley Community Investigation Unit, said today: “The suspects in this robbery deliberately targeted victims they perceived to be vulnerable.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the men responsible. We continue to analyse available CCTV and have conducted door to door enquiries.

“It is possible that this incident was witnessed by the driver of a silver vehicle which was passing by at the same time. We would ask the driver of that vehicle to get in contact with any information they may have.

“You may have heard a disturbance or seen suspects matching their description running away from Spencer Drive around the time of the incident.

“If anyone has any information which can assist officers in our enquiry, we ask that you contact Paisley Police office via 101.”
