There has been a fire in the kitchen of popular Paisley bar and restaurant Hamishes’ Hoose at the weekend.

Two people were taken to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital after receiving minor burns to their arms.

The fire has destroyed the roof and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage and the bar has been forced to shutdown food side of the business around 3.30pm on Saturday 25th June 2016.

Owner Piero Pieraccini, 65 hopes to be up and running shortly to start serving food again.

Pieraccini told local newspaper, the Paisley Daily Express: “We’ve been doing what we can to make sure all our bookings get honoured.

“I’ve either found them a table at a different restaurant nearby, or we’ve managed to rearrange. Every year, we have a bit of a bash for the teachers finishing term.

“We have a bit of karaoke and a buffet for them and I’ve phoned round to let them know this is definitely still going ahead.
