Police are investigating an attempted break in at a farm in Houston.
A farmer was woke up by his dog barking around 3.20am on Tuesday 10th January 2017. An outside alarm was also activated.
After investigating, the farmer found his Barn doors had been opened but nothing had been taken.
It appears the culprits have been disturbed by the alarm activation.
Police attended and a check of the surrounding area proved negative.
Police at Johnstone would like to remind members of the public that during the course of the dark nights and dark mornings the public should ensure their homes and outbuildings are securely locked and additional security added to vulnerable property.
