Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to regarding a fire that was deliberately started in Dennistoun Road, Langbank on Sunday 22nd January 2017.

Around 10.40pm police and emergency services responded to reports of a house on fire on Dennistoun Road.

No one was injured during the incident and a joint investigation between the Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been commenced.

Police have today released CCTV images of a man that officers believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as a white man with an athletic build who was wearing a black skip hat, dark coloured top, light coloured trousers and appeared to be carrying a long thin object.

Detective Constable Louise Kane, Johnstone ID, is appealing for information. She said: “Enquiries are ongoing. We have been carrying out door to door enquiries and we are continuing to assess opportunities to capture CCTV images. At this time I am appealing to the public to contact us with any information they may have.

“I would ask anyone who recognises the man in the images to please get in touch as it is essential that we speak with him as part of our enquiries.”
