Morgan’s goals in the 26th and 48th minutes sent the Saints on their way of their second win at home this season. McShane tripled the score in the 78th minute.
Todays attendance was 4768, of which 971 were Dundee fans.
St. Mirren got down to business early in the match when an early shot by Stelios was held by Harry Lewis in the first minute A low McMullen drive on the other side was held by Samson. In the 14th minute McShanes delivery after Lewis Morgan won a corner, just misses Morgan’s head. In the 17th minute it was United’s turn when Stanton’s effort deflected wide. Samson’s save denied McDonald.
Morgan put the Saints ahead in the 26th with a drive forward and a low shot from outside the box beyond the reach of Lewis.

In the 36th a McShane free kick is spilled by Lewis and picked up by Buchanan, whose flick hit the post. in the 43rd McShane’s corner hit the bar.
After a good first half St.Mirren lead 1-0.
Three minutes into the second half Morgan did it again. With a brilliant strike he puts the Buddies in the lead 2-0. In the 55th minute Jamie Robson runs solo and fires just wide of the Saints net.
In the 58th minute there was a one minute applause for Saints supporter Raymond Balloch who tragically passed away recently.
McGinn came took a shot from the edge of the box in the 64th which he volley just wide.
Ian McShane got his first St. Mirren goal in the 78th minute to give the Saints a 3-0 victory over Dundee. It was a lovely curling finish from the edge of the box.
Today’s victory moved the Saints into third place and the third win from four games in the Ladbrokes championship.
