Two Renfrewshire councillors have asked residents to be aware when using private waste collectors to make sure they are registered to do so.
It comes after uplifts that have been collected were dumped in Brediland Road and Leitchland Road in the Foxbar area of Paisley.
The roage traders normally advertise on local Facebook pages and on classified advertisements website Gumtree.

Councillors Stephen Burns told Renfrewshire News: “This is outrageous dumping items outside local shops on Brediland Road.”
Cllr Burns and his colleague Cllr Lorraine Cameron are urging residents to keep hold of there bulk waste for another couple of weeks in a secure place until the Council waste sites are fully operational and able to take larger items.
Cllr Burns, said: “Dumping will take considerable time to clear and resources could be put to better use. If anyone witness fly tipping this can be reported via the Council website.
The SNP councillors, who cover Paisley Southwest have praised Council staff, Cllr burns added: “Council staff have been brilliant and very quick at uplifting any item reported and have worked around the clock in real terms in the local communities.”
