Police Scotland are appealing for information after a boy was hit by a car on Netherhill Road, Paisley yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 4.40 pm and involved a Ford Fiesta, which collided with an 8-year-old male on a push bike, injuring him.

A female stopped to assist, picking up the child and driving him to his home address. We would appeal to this female to get in touch with police.

A 43-year-old male has been arrested in connection with this incident.

Police Scotland said: Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2621 of 15 May 2023 when calling. Alternatively, details can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
