Police Scotland have arrested an 18-year-old man after he was found to be in possession of drugs and a knife.

Officers from the Renfrewshire Violence Reduction Unit stopped a male who was acting suspiciously on George Street, Paisley at around 11.50am yesterday morning.

The male was found to be in possession of class A drugs with an estimated street value of £2000 and a 4-figure sum of cash.

The man was arrested and charged with drug supply offences and possession of a large knife. He was held in custody and will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
