A man from Johnstone has been named by Highland & Islands Police as the motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A82 near Glencoe.

Ross Dominick, who was 35-years-old, was form the Johnstone Castle area of Johnstone.

The crash, which involved a BMW motorbike and a Mazda CX5, happened around 12 noon on Sunday.

A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the collision. He was later released on an undertaking to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

Inspector Scott Deans of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with Ross’ family and friends at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we would ask anyone with information which has not yet been passed to police to contact us on 101 quoting 1435 of 23 July.”
