Tom Arthur, MSP for Renfrewshire South visited Gleniffer Nursery in Johnstone recently to meet with nursery owner Morag MacAulay and manager Danielle McKinnon.

Tom was invited to the nursery for a tour of the facilities after he wrote to offer his congratulations for Gleniffer’s best inspection report in over a decade.

The service, which provides care and education for babies and children from Johnstone, Linwood and the surrounding villages, is also celebrating their 25th year of supporting local families.

The SNP politician Tom said: “I was delighted to hear about Gleniffer Nursery’s great inspection report, where they received their best rating in 11 years, achieving ‘good’ gradings in all four areas.

“It was great to be invited over for a catch up with Morag and Danielle at the nursery and to be able to see around the building and speak to them about the amazing community engagement work they are doing.

“It is easy to see why the nursery has become such a stalwart locally over the 25 years they have been operating. In fact, some of the children who now attend Gleniffer, have parents who attended when they were young too. If that is not a ringing endorsement of the standard of service, then I do not know what is!

“Thank you so much to Morag, Danielle and the staff. Here’s to their next 25 years serving the community in Johnstone.”
