The children of Bridge of Weir Primary are excited to be involved in the Quarriers Festival of Choirs which is being staged at various shopping centres across Glasgow

If your Christmas spirit needs a lift during a day of intense shopping, take time out from your purchasing mission to enjoy the collective voices of Quarriers Festival of Choirs (FOCs) that is being staged at various shopping centres across the area.

The angelic voices of schoolchildren, church and community choirs will be singing throughout December in Princes Square, St Enoch’s Centre and Braehead Shopping Centre. There will also be a special one-off performance from Rockus Choir at Tesco in Linwood, on Tuesday, December 5th at 7.00-8.00pm.

The event is raising money for Quarriers services across Scotland, which supports more than 5000 people to help make a positive impact on their lives.

This year, 19 schools are taking part, as well as 13 community choirs, making 2023’s Festival of Choirs one of the biggest to date. Those include Bridge of Weir Primary, Thorn Primary, Rock Choir, Rockus Choir, Erskine Community Choir and West Primary.

Louise Strachan, Quarriers Events and Community Fundraiser, said: “We are thrilled to have The Festival of Choirs back on our Christmas event’s calendar. All the choirs are looking forward to being involved, and we are grateful for all their support and can’t wait for everyone to hear them perform a range of festive favourites.”
