Police Scotland are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Paisley on Saturday.

A 55-year-old man was walking on Causeyside Street near to Forbes Place when two men started shouting in his direction. They followed him onto Marshalls Lane where they seriously assaulted him at around 5.10pm.
Police and Ambulance attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff describe his condition as serious.
Detective Inspector Neil Martin said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances and gather more information on the two men responsible for this violent attack.
“The town centre would have been busy at the time of this assault. I urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
