Seven men aged have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs and immigration offences following a search of a vehicle and a property in Inchinnan Road, Renfrew.

The searches took place on Sunday and a quantity of drugs, believed to be cannabis with an estimated street value of £150,000, was recovered along with a quantity of cash.

Detective Inspector Neil Martin said: “This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised crime Strategy.

“Officers will continue to work throughout our local communities and remove drugs and tackle any criminal activity. Information from the public is vital in helping us continue to do this.

“I ask anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour, to report this to us so we can investigate.”

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and all men, aged between 20 and 31, are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
