Police Scotland are appealing for the public’s assistance in tracing a teenager who has went missing from the Johnstone area.

Ross McCormick, who is 15-years-old, was last seen around 9:30am on Tuesday in the Beith Road area of Johnstone.

He is described as being white Scottish, around 5ft 4ins tall, slim build with short black hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black hoody, black joggers and black trainers.

Ross is known to frequent Johnstone, Paisley, and Prestwick areas.

Sergeant Paul Crawford said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ross’ welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

“Please check any private CCTV or dashcam footage which may help us in tracing him.

“Ross, if you see this, please get in touch with us or your friends and family to let them know you are safe.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4414 of 4 June, 2024.”
