Public consultation events are taking place later this month to update people on plans for new Renfrewshire Council housing developments in Gallowhill and Johnstone.

McTaggart Construction are designing and building new Renfrewshire Council houses at two locations.

There are 65 homes being built at a vacant site off Montgomery Road in Gallowhill and 70 homes planned for the Howwood Road area of Johnstone on the site of the former Cochrane Castle Primary School.

Initial drop-in events were held in May and further events in June will provide a chance for people to see how the housebuilder has developed the designs and site layout following feedback.

The Howwood Road event is on Tuesday 25 June at Thorn Athletic Sports Academy at Thomas Shanks Park, Greenend Avenue, Johnstone, PA5 0LE.

People can come along anytime from 3pm to 7pm.

And the Gallowhill event at Gallowhill Community Centre at 166 Netherhill Road, Paisley, PA3 4SF is the venue for the Gallowhill event which is on Thursday 27 June, also open to drop by between 3pm and 7pm.

People can also see the updated designs and site plans for each development online and complete a feedback form.

More details are on the Council website at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/consultation.

Following these public consultation events, planning applications will be submitted for each housing development.
