Paisley Pirates get set for new season with a visit to the Pirates of Paisley LEGO Trail

As the countdown begins to a brand new Scottish National League (SNL) Ice Hockey season, the Paisley Pirates have kicked off their pre-season with a local adventure – visiting the Pirates of Paisley LEGO Trail – now running across the town centre until 11th August.

With a mixture of returning players and exciting new faces set to be revealed in the coming weeks, the Pirates took the opportunity to reconnect with the heart of the town they proudly represent.

The LEGO Trail, organised by Paisley First, is the perfect blend of family fun and local storytelling, and it’s proved a fitting backdrop as the team gets ready to write the next chapter of their own legacy.

“It’s brilliant to see a town-wide celebration of all things ‘pirate’, especially as we gear up for the new season.” said a club spokesperson. “We loved visiting the trail, and we hope fans across Renfrewshire enjoy it too while it’s here.”

The first pre-season friendly is scheduled for Sunday 31st August, when the Pirates hit the road to take on the Edinburgh Capitals at Murrayfield Ice Rink. A full fixture list is attached and will be available on the team’s official website.

But before the puck drops on the ice, fans are invited to a brand-new off-ice event the night before – The Paisley Pirates Podcast: LIVE!

The club will be hosting its first ever live podcast event at The Wynd Centre, Paisley on Saturday 30th August. The evening promises to be packed with behind-the-scenes stories, guest appearances, giveaways, and more. It’s a great way for fans, new and old, to revel in the glories and celebrate the season ahead.
