Police appeal after car deliberately set on fire in Paisley

Police in Paisley are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in the Ferguslie Park area.
The incident involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa, which was reported to have been set alight outside a property on Ferguslie Park Avenue around 12.20pm on Tuesday, 5 August 2025.
It’s believed the fire took place sometime between 9.10pm on Monday, 4th August and 8.15am on Tuesday morning.
Detective Constable Jack McElwee said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am asking anyone who might have been in the area and saw something to get in touch.
“Similarly, anyone in the area with private CCTV or dash-cam footage that might have captured anything that could be useful in our investigation is urged to contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1328 of 5 August 2025. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
