When 69-year-old Shona Morrison, a resident at Bridge of Weir Care Home, shared that getting a tattoo was on her bucket list, the staff were determined to make her dream come true.
Shona, who has Motor Neuron Disease and has been living at the Morar Living home since June, told staff she had always regretted never getting a real tattoo.
After hearing her story, the Bridge of Weir team reached out to local tattoo artist AJ, who kindly agreed to visit the home and give Shona her very first tattoo — a small cocktail glass, designed by Shona herself.
But the day turned into something even more special. In a heartwarming gesture of love and support, several members of the care home team decided to get the same tattoo alongside her.
It was a special day filled with smiles, laughter and a few happy tears.
