Renfrew town centre was packed on Saturday as crowds gathered to watch the town’s Christmas lights switched on for 2025.
Families enjoyed a full afternoon of festive fun, with a Christmas market, face painting, a funfair, street performers and a giant snow globe that proved a hit for photographs.
Renfrew Burgh Band held their annual carol concert inside Renfrew Town Hall, while local schoolchildren and performers took to the main stage to keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day.
Santa also made his visit to Renfrew, setting up in his grotto to hear what children are hoping to find under the tree this year.
At 5pm, Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron was joined by competition winner Harris from St James’ Primary School to push the button and officially light up the town.
More festive celebrations are still to come across Renfrewshire, with Christmas events in Erskine on Friday, Johnstone on Saturday, and Linwood on Friday 5th December.
